a teaser

September 16th, 2008

I had some pictures and a post to upload, but last night the blog ate my post, so you’ll have to make due with today’s short snippet. This afternoon, Will laying on the floor whines, “Mom, my nose feels funny.” “What do you mean funny? How does it feel?” “It feels like diarrhea.” “Diarrhea in […]

the girls

September 2nd, 2008

Sylvie got to hold Ruby this weekend. Such a little mommy. I swear they come out this way.

“I don’t like Monkey Brains.” “Can we eat this after we eat our dinner?”

i love you

August 30th, 2008

“I love you to gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity and gravity. That’s a lot, huh, mom?” I think he means “infinity”. We’re having some trouble with abstract concepts. But, I have to applaud him for the 50 cent words.

Our kids are a-political. But I believe it is never too early to teach them morals, how to treat others and who we look up to, so we’ve been teaching the kids about Barack Obama. Sylvie says “Bock Mama” and “Vote Bock Mama”. I think we need tshirts.

Whi-psch! (Where did he learn that? Is that what […]

a little less conversation, a little more action

August 20th, 2008

There are strong genes in this family. (And crazy side burns) Thanks, Aunt Patty! She’s been fueling Grandpa’s summer camp with daily gifts. We’ve received a solar car, gummy bats, a tiny bike, cotton candy gum that turns your tongue blue, and a few other things that aren’t coming to mind at the moment.

more Willisms

August 15th, 2008

On the ride to school, Doug explained that this was Will’s last day of school before summer break, and then he’ll be hanging out with Grandpa. Will asked how long he gets to hang out with Grandpa. Doug responded 5 days. “Wow! 5 days! That is a long time!” Will can’t wait. Grandpa is scared.
