I’m not exactly a foodie, but I like to cook and I like real food (vs the packaged stuff), so I subscribe to quite a few food blogs and spend many an evening searching google for dinner ideas. More often than I like to admit, I model our dinners after the food google is serving […]

We’re pooped. A bunch of rowdy pirates came by our house to dig for booty. Blowing the cannons: (Amazingly, we didn’t burn down the ship!) Party Details: I baked for 10 hours, yesterday. I attempted the Gordito recipe off Mayo Clinic last week, and it required some tinkering. I added an egg, and I’d say that was the very least it required. It worked well enough for our purposes making mini quesadillas that were interesting and at least on par with those made using off the shelf corn tortillas. […]

First, the good thing: Cold Brewed Coffee. If you enjoy coffee, and can tell the difference between an Americano, a coffee machine brew, and a hot drip, you might try cold brewing. A cold brew tastes similar to an Americano in that it leaves most of the acids in the bean, so you are more […]

Since there are some dear-to-me coffee addicts in this world, I figured I would rush to post this, in case it saves a life. Here’s a link to a calculator that tells you how many of your favorite drinks you could consume before the caffeine killed you. (We all know this is just for fun, […]
